Archer + Hawk - Brand identity

Brief: Develop the name, brand positioning and identity for Archer + Hawk. An executive search agency focussed on a tailored approach for the engineering sector.

A pure brand positioning and identity project is something that I love to do. No more so than for a small, personal business such as Archer + Hawk. They came to me with an idea for a great company but with little vision for how that might be represented through name, branding and communications. I helped bring them to life by researching their markets and competitors as well as brainstorming together for naming solutions and finally their copywriting and art direction.

As with all of my projects, I start with the concept. This is key to creating a strong and lasting design or piece of communication. Without this, a design is not anchored in anything meaningful. For Archer + Hawk, or more affectionately known as Archer, the idea of adding something positive to people’s lives is crucial. They are all about connecting the right people to the right job and so the icon of a plus sign felt just right to subtly yet powerfully communicate these values of positivity, connection and ultimately; addition.
